You are looking at a fully customized, magazine featured, sportster!! The entire build was done by Wayne Kemp of Wayne Kemp Kustoms and Kemp Kustoms, built for his mom for mothers day. This bike was featured in the October 2003 issue of American Iron Magazine as well as a few other motorcycle mags. It is an absolutely beautiful Sportster.
Now to describe the bike... This bike began as a 1992 XL 883, Wayne took apart the engine and had the cases polished, the cylinders were bored to suit a pair of Wiseco pistons, raising the capacity to 1200cc. The heads were lightly ported and cleaned up to flow better and an S&S carburetor replaced the stock carb. Exhaust was upgraded to a Samson 2-into-1 Powerflow system. According to the dyno the Sporty now puts out 80 horsepower. The front end of the frame was then modified to give a 3-degree increase in rake. A mid glide front end was selected for best handling. Billet triple trees were fabricated by Wayne with the bores machined to give the fork legs an extra five degrees of rake. At the rear, the swingarm is a lightly modified Atlas Dragon item, connected to a set of 10" long Progressive Suspension shocks that dropped the seat height. The tank is a King Sportster item with a 3.5 gallon capacity. Wayne smoothed the tank and installed the flush-mount tank cap. He also moved the gas tank mounts up slightly. Performance Machine wheels with Performance Machine four piston calipers front and rear. Russ Wernimont front and rear fenders. Arlen Ness Headlight and Taillight. CCI oil tank, Khromeworks handlebars. Arlen Ness foot pegs, Performance Machine hand controls, and Kuryakyn foot controls
The custom paint really sets this Sportster apart from the rest. Wayne used Chrome Illusion paint for the flame graphics, so the flames switch from light to dark depending on how the light hits the bike.
It is a complete custom with a clear title. Bike has a 30 day limited warrenty.
